Evgenii Liamin
Senior Analyst
Political analyst, project manager and anti-war activist with a background in political science, civic education and humanitarian assistance.
Before joining the EK Strategic Communications Center, Evgenii co-founded Prostranstvo Politika, a civic education initiative that created spaces for open political discussion across six Russian cities. Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he co-founded and directed Emigration for Action, an organisation providing medicines and humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian refugees in Georgia.
Since 2022, Evgenii has also worked with the Platform of Anti-War Initiatives, supporting projects aimed at ending Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, addressing the consequences of the war and advancing democratic change in Russia.
At the EK Strategic Communications Center, he focuses on Russian domestic politics, Kremlin decision-making, state propaganda, public opinion and elite conflicts. He has authored and co-authored reports on mobilisation, digital censorship, economic and social discontent, war fatigue, Kremlin influence campaigns and Russia’s relations with Europe, China and the United States.
Evgenii holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from the Higher School of Economics and previously studied China and regional studies at MGIMO.
